Original article

Abstract: The Cs atom electron-stimulated desorption (ESD) processes in Cs CsAu/Au/W system have been studied. There have been shown that ESD processes occurred in the Cs adlayer and in the nearest CsAu layer. The Cs atom ESD model in Cs/CsAu/Au/W system have been suggested. Nonmetallic (semiconductor) nature of CsxAuycompounds have been corroborated.

Keywords: electron-stimulated desorption, adsorption, alkali metals, gold, intermetallic compounds
